The Three Brains of Man
Aquí nace que el hombre tiene tres cerebros que lo dominan. They are the cerebellum, the stomach and the sexual parts. When the latter dominate over the first, man advances toward his own destruction through the excesses he commits. The Tratado ties this to the part of the secret of Ozain's güiro of Olokun that was born here (see Patakín 5).

01Where Aroni Got in Orunmila's Way

Olokun wanted to do Ifá for his son, and Orunmila was his godfather, and Aroni came and got in the way.
Just then Elegba arrived at Orunmila's house looking for something to eat. Orunmila told him he had nothing to give him; that the only one who had been there was Olokun's son, for whom he was going to do Ifá, but that Aroni had got in the way, and that was why he had nothing cut up [picado].
Elegba took out his horn (tarro) of Oda Eshuli and made Adoni [sic — Aroni] drunk. Next he went to Orunmila's house and told him that Aroni was drunk, lying in the street.
Orunmila went to Olokun's house and asked him whether that drunken oluwo was the one who was going to do Ifá for his son. Then Olokun called Orunmila again so that he would seat Ifá for his son.
